Rhema For Living 26th October 2022 OFM MESSAGE
In Numbers 16, Kohath, Dathan and Abiram made the mistake of thinking they were equal with Moses and they took certain men of Israel two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown and they gathered against Moses and Aaron and spake against them.
They said they were all holy and God is also among them why then should Moses and Aaron lift up themselves above them. In other words, they are equal with them and they should not be leaders over them.
Listen, that God uses you, or you have certain influence, does not mean there are no persons ahead of you. Before God, we are not all equal. He has put certain persons ahead of his people to lead them to their destiny. Hosea 12 :13.
Birth mates does not mean grace mates. His grace differentiates one from the other. To differentiates Moses as not in the class of Kohath, Dathan and Abiram, God honoured the words of Moses and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed all that pertaineth to them.
Num. 16 :28 – 33; God hates men challenging His authority. To challenge those He has empowered over you is to challenge Him.
To put an end to the murmurings of the children of Israel against Moses and Aaron, God instructed Moses in Numbers 17; to speak unto the children of Israel to take everyone of them a rod according to the house of their father, twelve rods and write every man’s name upon his rod and Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi and the rods be laid up in the tabernacle and He will select a rod to lead, and the rod He chooses among them shall blossom.
And they did as Moses instructed them and the following morning the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi bud and blossom. And everyman took his rod. Divine selection ends contention.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to honour those ahead of me. In Jesus Mighty Name.
