Total Obedience Required

TEXT : “And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.” 2 Chronicles 25 :2.
OFM Rhema For Living 19th June 2023 MESSAGE: Obedience is not obedience if it is not total. God requires complete responds to His demand if one ever wants to please Him and reap the reward of obedience. To respond to God’s instruction leaving out some aspects of it is equal to disobedience and it may make one incur the wrath of God rather than receiving a blessing.. Every instruction of God whether paying of one’s tithe, giving of one’s first fruit, free will offerings, worshipping etc has certain requirements by God.
By the instructions of the Spirit we are giving definite instructions of how to obey God, so to only do a part leaving out others is considering as partial obedience which disobedience.. God does not want partial commitment from His people. It is either you are involved or not. Ananias and Sapphira tried to partially serve God and they were both killed.
The disciples then walked in great unity and are of one heart and soul doing things in common, they had all things in common. None of them lacked, for as many as were possessions of land and houses sold them and brought the prices of the things that were sold and laid them down at the apostle’s feet and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. Everyone did it willingly with pleasure.
But for Ananias and Sapphira, knowing fully well that they were not ready to comply with the requirement, went ahead and sold a possession and kept back part of the price and brought a certain part and laid it at the Apostle’s feet. And as soon as Peter reprimanded Ananias for lying to the Holy Ghost, he fell down dead. Not long, his wife Sapphire came in and also dropped dead.
God requires total obedience, not partial obedience.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to obey you as I should.
