In continuation of Ezekiel’s prophecy about worship in a future temple, he gives more details on God’s requirement for acceptable worship. Such details include rules about what gates people should enter through; what to offer during festivals and offerings princes or leaders should make.
Still in the context of worship, matters of the prince’s inheritance to his sons or to servants or slaves are also things God is concerned about. Note again the prohibition in v.18 against land grabbing by the powerful. Nobody should ever be forced out of his property by another person. Unfortunately, we have many land cases in our courts of law, and many of the cases hinge on greed.
As Christians, we must shun greed and follow the right channels in all land transactions. Some lessons from our readings today: 1. Worship before God is sacred and we need not be careless or carefree when we are gathered for worship. 2. God is an orderly God and our participation in worship must never be disorderly. 3. The sacrifices we read about here are a pointer to Christ, the lamb of God that was slain for our sins.

› Grace to continuously and deliberately guard our heats to avoid things that will disqualify us.
› Determination to daily use and apply the word of God in every situation of life.
PRAY AGAINST:
∷ Every form of evil thoughts and deceptions.
∷ Every form of disagreement, offences that bring bitterness.
