Discover Your Sling and Stone
by Apostle Johnson Suleman

SCRIPTURE: Romans 4-6

TEXT: So David prevailed over the Philistines with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. 1 Samuel 17:50.

MESSAGE: In the journey of life and in your walk with God, every child of God must discover his or her sling and stone with which to bring down his own Goliath. There are specific revelations, insights, secrets, treasures, etc. that God gives to individuals to bring down the Goliath confronting them and thereby, project them to limelight.

Generally, the sword and the spear was to be the weapon for warfare to be used against Goliath in battle and be armed with a coat of nail as Saul earlier put on David but David rejected (1 Samuel 17 :38-39). Rather, he took his staff in his hand and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook and put them in a shepherd’s bag he drew near to the Philistine (vs 40).
And with that, he cheaply brought Goliath down. He discovered his sling and stone and with that, he defeated Goliath.

Child of God, what is your sling and stone? What is that secret from the Lord that you have personally tested and proven that can bring down that Goliath and soar in victory?

When Jesus came to the tomb of Lazarus, people must have expected Himto do something else but He lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me” (John 11 :42).
Jesus had already handled that situation before He got there. He only put a seal on it with thanksgiving. The spiritual controls the physical.

What is your sling and your stone?

My Father! My Father! As I pray now, help me to take advantage of this truth and soar in victory.
