A New Beginning

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 37-38
TEXT: “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43 :18 – 19.
I’m so excited to announce to you on this first day of the month of August that it is a new beginning for you. A new beginnings of another realm of divine happenings in your life. Your life and all your interest shall begin to spring forth divine wonders.
To accommodate the new beginning of new things, God specifically gave a command saying, “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old”. He knew engaging in such act may tie one to the past, shrinking and limiting one’s expectation for the present move of God. So it doesn’t matter what the former things were in your life, whether they are experiences of pains and sorrow or of gains and achievements, they are old and outdated, God says forget about them.
It’s a new beginning, a new experience, a new glory to be revealed in your life and now it shall spring forth.
We serve a God of great surprises. It doesn’t cost Him anything to transform the circumstances around a man from story to glory. When it is the appointed time, things suddenly turns around beyond human explanations and one experiences a new beginning as Mephibosheth who was suddenly remembered in Lodebar.
If someone had told Mephibosheth that despite the lameness of his feet that the following day, he would be in Jerusalem and eat continually at the king’s table, he wouldn’t have believed. But the God of new beginning orchestrated that wonder in his life turning his story around. 2 Samuel 9.
That shall be your story this season.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I set myself for a new beginning, in Jesus name..
