TOPIC: Harness Your Heart
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Matthew 6:21 (KJV) For where your treasure is, there will
your heart be also.
GoodNews Daily Devotional 26 July 2022 MESSAGE
When the Bible says the heart is deceitful, many think that it’s just a question of the heart being vulnerable to temptations and deceits. It’s really beyond those brothers and sisters. The heart is naturally willing and driven to evil. When it’s not controlled, it will never desire to do good on its own. It will surely follow the lust of the flesh and all manner of evil.
The word says, “to guard your heart jealously for out of the heart flows the issues of life”. Put a garrison and ammunition to protect your heart otherwise, it will breed rebellion, dis- obedience, and negativity for you. The Bible gave us a simple way to harness our hearts. Where a man’s treasure is, the heart will follow. The heart only follows where your treasure is. If you invest more of your financial resources and time on carnal things, your heart will follow too.
When you give or partner with the work of God, automatically your heart will follow. You might wonder why you fall and rise up all the time; check where you are investing much of your financial resources. God gave us the grace to make money this year and surely money is coming but remember to serve the Lord through your finances. Channel your increase to the mission of God thereby diverting your heart towards the Master.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Money is coming to me and my family. I shall use my increase to forward the agenda and mission of God on this earth. I am blessed to be a blessing in the name of Jesus. Amen!
