TOPIC: The Wrath of God Against Godlessness And Wickedness
OPENING PRAYER: Dear Lord, make me more like you through the power of your word as I meditate on it.
SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 1:18-32

Scripture Union Daily Guide MESSAGE
The wrath of God against man reveals the need for the gospel. This is His holy and just anger against sin and all that is contrary to His holy nature and will.
Reflect on vs.18-23 and take note that God has revealed Himself in creation and in Man’s conscience, and today, through Christ and His word. Nevertheless, man chooses to reject the knowledge.
Nothing brings God’s wrath upon a person, church, or nation than sin. Vs.24-32 show how God shows His wrath. “Therefore, God gave them over…” (vs.24, 26, 28) means that God let humanity become more and more sinful by withdrawing His moderating influence on them and allowing sin to run its full course. Check and take note of all the sins that took over man and their effects on him.
How do you think Christians should respond to the challenge of homosexuality in the light of vs.26 &27 (cf. Leviticus 18:22) and how should we relate with homosexuals? Many evil practices have been sanctioned by our society. It is not, however, the society that should set the standard for the Christian. Our obligation is to obey God, not our desires. Those desires that violate God’s law must be rejected and resisted.

AND SO: Are you struggling with any form of immorality? Ask God to deliver you. Also seek help from a professional Christian counsellor if need be.

► Their God given ability to stand and withstand this end time pressure to join the world.
PRAY FOR:
► Their leaders, that God will continue to strengthen them as they lead.
► The members that they will continue to stand firm to the end.
► The presence and the power of God to keep protecting their fellowship and programmes.
PRAY AGAINST:
► Dangerous compromises or teachings that are contrary to the will of God.
► Pseudo-disciples who are mere wolves in sheep clothings among them.
