TOPIC: Evidence By The Spirit (2)
DAILY BIBLE READING: Jeremiah 31-33
TEXT: ” The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,” Luke 4 :18.
MESSAGE
Hear me loud and clear; there is no meaningful and lasting evidence outside the Spirit of God. Jesus said, “ The evidence of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to….. It takes empowerment of the Holy Ghost to command evidence in any aspect of life whether academically, martially, socially, mentally, spiritually etc. The disciples of Jesus even after being with Jesus physically, lack tangible evidence until they were endured with power after the Holy Ghost came upon them in Acts 2 :2; and they became witnesses unto God.
They would have been story tellers without evidence. But with evidence they could boldly declare “That which was from the beginning which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled of the word of life.” 1 John 1 :1.
As a child of God, born again and Spirit -filled, there is no excuse to lack of evidence of the glorious Gospel in your life.
Scripture says in Mark 16 :17 – 18; “And this signs shall follow them that believe.” In Isaiah 8:18, and it says , “ Behold I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and wonders in Israel.”
As you keep seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness, the Spirit of God keeps expressing Himself through you with signs and wonders. God chasers and lovers who are passionate about His business are carriers of the anointing and their lives are full of evidence
I pray for you, you will not lack evidence.
