Discipline Your Thought

Omega Fire Devotional 9 September 2021 Rhema for Living Message:
So many do not understand that thoughts are realities. You can’t expect to see success when you have pre-occupied yourself with the thoughts of failure. Although God’s plan for you is Peace, but if you don’t thinkand meditate peace which are His blessings for you, you may never experience it. God does not only do what you ask, but also does what you think (Eph. 3 :20) and that is why you’ve got to discipline your thoughts to align with God’s thoughts.
God says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you… thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jer. 29 :11.
And the Holy Ghost through Paul the Apostle gave us the kind and pattern of thinking to subscribe to in Philippians 4 :8; it says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” So you have to start thinking things that are of good report, true, honest and godly if you must see the glory of God in your life.
Two cannot walk together except they agree (Amos 3 :3). For God to work in your life, you must first agree with Him in your thought life. That is why scripture says, “And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind.” Eph. 4 :23;. Also in Romans 12 :2; it says “And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” This shows the degree at which God wants you to renew your mind.
I see God moving things in your favour as you decide to reshape your thoughts.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I pray, help me to discipline my thoughts in Jesus name.
