TOPIC: Your Prayer Life
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Acts 3:1 (KJV) Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
GoodNews Daily Devotional 30th September 2022 MESSAGE
Jesus’ disciples after His ascension put on a dangerous garment called ‘PRAYER’. These guys were so fascinated with prayers that it became a lifestyle. They were always in prayer mode to the point that they named a certain hour of the day ‘hour of prayer’. It was a regular and normal way of life for them, no wonder they turned the world upside down in their dispensation. Note that prayer is the bedrock of Christianity. If you can find time to eat, then you should equally find time to pray.
The Bible specifically instructs us ‘…men ought always to pray and not to faint’ (Luke 18:1, KJV). Some believers will say, I don’t know how to pray. When you don’t know what to pray and how to pray, it’s time you ask the Holy Spirit. He will teach you His language which is speaking in tongues which are perfectly understood by God, but your natural mind will not comprehend it.
As you pray in the language of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit will make intercession for you. Things that you may have taken for granted in your life, in your business, in your family, and in your spiritual walk will be interceded for as the Holy Spirit takes over your prayer session in accordance with the will of God. Don’t neglect your prayer life because that is what sustains you as a Christian. Be serious about your prayer life today!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am now shifting gears in my prayer life. I cannot live a prayerless life. I am a child of God and I know the only way to communicate with the Father is through prayer. Amen!
