TOPIC: Light Unto Nations
MEMORY VERSE: “The LORD said to me, “I have a greater task for you, my servant. Not only will you restore to greatness the people of Israel who have survived, but I will also make you a light to the nations—so that all the world may be saved.”” (Isaiah 49: 6 GNB)
SCRIPTURE READING: ZECHARIAH 4: 1-9
FOCUS: “And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:” (Zechariah 4: 2)
Streams of Joy Devotional 8th April 2023 MESSAGE
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Zechariah saw light in the temple. That light in the temple was known as the menorah. It was a symbol amongst the Jews that they would be a light to the nations. So the vision of Zechariah was symbolic of how they would be a light to the nations. The Jews were in captivity at the time of Zechariah’s vision, but he saw them becoming light to nations. They moved from captivity to being light to nations.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are becoming a light to nations. You are a carrier of the solutions that nations need. You have divine deposits within you that will serve the need of nations. God has wired you to be the carrier of wisdom that will advance nations. God has wired you to be the carrier of ideas that will lift nations higher. God has wired you to be the man that will cause the nations to rise and advance.
Notice that the Jews were not going to beg the nations. They were going to be light to the nations. They were carriers of what nations needed. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you are a carrier of what the nations need. You are a carrier of the visions that will reposition the nations. You are a carrier of what is missing in the nations. You are that solution that the nations have been waiting for. You are that burning and shining light the nations need.
Your temple may yet be grounded, you may not look like a carrier of what nations need, but you will be a light to nations. International doors beyond your imagination, will be open to you. Your children will be a light to the nations. Your career, business, ministry, skills, etc. will be a light to the nations. No matter how the enemy brought down your ‘temple’, you will still be a light to the nations if you do not stop shining.
What you carry is not just for your city; it is for nations. You are a global light. You are a light to the nations.
DECLARATION: I am a light to the nations, in Jesus’ name!
