SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 13:6-9(KJV)
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when the owner of the fig came to the conclusion that the best thing was to cut down the fig tree, since it was yet to bear fruit. The owner of the fig had waited for so long to see results from his fig, and he probably felt the best thing to do was to cut it down. The fig owner was ready to give up on the fig. The fig tree owner was not willing to keep waiting. He was set to give up and close shop.
Friend, there comes a time when it seems that the best option is to give up; but El Roi says, don’t give up yet. Don’t abandon your mission yet. Don’t give up on your dreams yet. Don’t give up on your destiny mandate yet. Don’t give up because of the results you are yet to see. Don’t give up because of intended outcomes that are yet to manifest. Don’t abandon ship because there is a storm. Don’t give up on your journey just yet.
The owner of the fig tree wanted the vine dresser to cut down the fig tree. He wanted to put an end to what was yet to give him expected results. Notice that eventually, the vinedresser suggested an idea that could cause a comeback for the fig tree. So, it was not a lost cause yet. It was a situation that could still be remedied. Some situations are simply calling for you to step up your game. Don’t give up because you feel like giving up.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. God is still God, and will show up on time. Don’t give up on your health yet. Don’t give up on your family yet. Don’t give up on your greatness yet. Don’t give up on your business, ministry, vocation, etc. Don’t give up on your destiny because of what did not work out as planned. Don’t give up because the idea of giving up sits well with you. Don’t give up when there is still hope for a rising.
Remember, to give up is to lose out. To give up is to concede defeat. In all your doings, never give up.
DECLARATION:
My finances will not be tied down; my fields will yield their increase, in Jesus’ name!
