Scripture Union Daily Guide 9 March 2022 MESSAGE
The Prophet Ezekiel was led by his guide (see Ezekiel 40:3) to the threshold of the temple from where water flowed eastwards as a blessing to Israel. Notice the increasing depth of the river as it proceeds away from the Temple into the open sea and how it impacts everything that comes in contact with it, including the trees, the salt water of the Dead Sea and its fish (vs.8‐10, 12).
This remarkable river is a pointer to the miraculous nature of a real river in God’s coming kingdom as well as the depth of God’s word as we study and meditate on it. Beyond this, it points to the spiritual depth of lives committed to Him. The trees were flourishing with leaves that will not wither and fruit that will never fail (v.12).
The river that flows out of the place of worship of God became a blessing not only to Israel but to other people. Read v.12 again to see the extent of the blessings. These waters of this river also signify the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

› Those of them who have allowed God to help them put to death the works of the flesh and are living Sprit filled lives.
PRAY FOR:
› SU groups, Zones, Areas and Regions as they emphasize the work of encouraging, Strengthening and empowering the youths to face the challenges of life.
› Dedicated study of the word of God among them.
› Active involvement and participation at the group, Zonal and Area level especially during prayers, evangelism and missions.
PRAY AGAINST:
∷ All forms of trials and temptations that will destroy the work of God in SU among the youths.
∷ Careless walk and lifestyles that will dim their lights.
