Topic: A life of Signs And Wonders
Opening Prayer: Lord, I pray that you lead me into your truth as I meditate on your word in Jesus name.
Scripture: Acts 9: 32-43

• Is there any example for me to follow or not to follow?
• Is there any other Biblical passage that can help me understand this passage better?
The Christian life ought to be a daily life of signs and wonders. Here we read of two miracles as Peter went about preaching the good news – the healing of Aeneas and the bringing back to life of Dorcas. In the two instances what were the outcomes (vs.35, 42)?
Isn’t it wonderful when souls genuinely turn to God? What secrete of ministry’s success do we notice in the life of Peter in v.34? When we consistently die to self and sin, then Christ is always glorified. What else can you observe in vs.38&39? The two basic principles of true Christianity are holiness and care for others (the needy).
Obviously, Dorcas does not seem to be lacking in any of these. You are not to practise one and ignore the other if you want to be acceptable to God. The Christian life is all about others as shown by Jesus himself (John 15:13, Act 10:38b, 2 Corinthians 8:9). This is the emphasis of James 1:27.

• Lord, as I live out the Christian life and preach the gospel, please confirm your word with signs and wonders that many may believe.
• Ask God to help you know His will, walk in it and be an example to believers and unbelievers
