OPENING PRAYER: Open my eyes O Lord that I might behold wondrous things from your word in Jesus name.

SCRIPTURE: Revelations 20:1‐15

Angels from heaven bound the dragon, clearly identified here as Satan, and threw him into the bottomless pit. He should not deceive the nations for a thousand years. The book of Revelation uses parables, imagery, and figurative language. 1000 years is one of such. God does not operate a 24‐hour day.

What is most important here is that the devil who caused so much havoc will finally receive what is due him. In the justice of God, the saints who have been sleeping all along will rise to reign with the Lord. The end of the battle is at hand as we all appear before the great white throne of judgment.

Those who suffer as martyrs and all of us who are true to Christ will be with Him forever. This should be a source of encouragement to all believers even when the battle for the faith is fierce. Read and reflect on vs.11–15 and note the action that you need to take personally.

PRAYER FOCUS

PREACH ON THE GOSPEL BRETHREN.
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation”.
Mark 16:15

THANK GOD FOR:
☀ The instruction to keep preaching the word of God to all.
☀ Making available His power as we preach the word, and He confirms it by granting people salvation.

PRAY FOR:
☛ Increased faith to meditate on God’ s word and the boldness to preach even when it seems they are not hearing.
☛ More brethren to see the need to go on preaching, despite the discouragement of people.
☛ Our lives to continue where our mouth stops, as we remain the Bible they see and read.

PRAY AGAINST:
⚠ Getting discouraged because of the trials and rejection of the gospel by the people around us.
⚠ Hardness of hearts we see lately among people who refuse to hear the word of God.
