OPENING PRAYER: My dear heavenly Father, as I study your word, let it be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 19:1-25

SU DAILY GUIDE FOR 1ST NOVEMBER 2023 MESSAGE:
Read again vs.3-15 and note at least three things Egypt depended upon but which will totally fail them in the days of her trouble. The wise men may be referring to the magicians whom the rulers consult for guidance. It is only the Lord who does not fail. We should rely on Him only.
It is not possible to give exact dates to the fulfilment of specific prophecies in the book of Isaiah. Some of them have already been fulfilled many years ago. An example of this is in v.4. We can see certain fulfilments in our generation. Vs.16–17 could possibly be counted as examples of this.

Often people only notice negative predictions about Egypt in the Bible as if God must keep on visiting the sins of the Pharaohs on Egypt forever! Vs.18-24, however, assure us that this is not the case. God’s love abides on the Egyptians just as it abides on any other race on earth. May the time come quickly when these glorious prophecies will find their fulfilment.
