READ RHEMA FOR LIVING 9 NOVEMBER 2022 OFM DEVOTIONAL FOR WEDNESDAY

TOPIC: The Peculiar Man

BIBLE READING: Mark 1-8

TEXT: “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1 :4 – 5.

Peculiarity is not a product of head knowledge; It is a function of light. No man can stand out or be distinct except he is a man of light. Light is what makes a man unique, special and outstandingly different from every other man. Overtime, resolutions made by men have collapsed because they were not made on the premise of light. God at creation could do nothing until He first had light.
He declared, “Let there be light: and there was light.

Light is the revelation of truth. It is having an understanding of the scriptures. It is to know the truth. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8 :32. In other words, you shall personally have an understanding of the truth and with that light; you reign over whatever darkness that has held you bound.

Due to the relevance of light, Apostle Paul prayed for the saints at Ephesus that the eyes of their understanding be enlightened to know. Eph. 1 :18. Until you know, you cannot stand out as the light of the world, nor reign as the salt of the earth.

Scripture says “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5 :16.. And that speaks of peculiarity; being the God ordained peculiar man in every ramification. In family life as a husband and as a father, in the business world, in relationships and every endeavour of life.

You are an epistle for others to read and follow you to serve your God.

I pray for you, may your life glorify God.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, let the passion for your truth rest on me.
