Rhema For Living 6 October 2022 OFM MESSAGE
When you fix your eyes on God, you shouldn’t entertain any form of alternative to Him. Challenges and troubles of life will come even almost at the same time like in the life of Job, but once your eyes are on Him, hope in His deliverance.
Alternative does not necessarily mean seeking help from other gods. No! Whatever contradicts God’s counsel for you in that situation is an alternative to Him.
For instance, you are expected to pay the enrollment fee for your child to sit for an examination into college and the deadline for payment is at hand. Prior to that you have fixed your eyes on God depending on His supply, not considering borrowing because you know it is not his counsel for you in Deuteronomy 28 :12… But as the deadline approaches, your thought drifted to institutions where you can obtain a loan to meet that need.
As that thought came in, you are to reject it and declare your trust in God fully determined to wait on Him for He is far more than able to meet your needs. Eph.3 :20..
Though He expects you to plan ahead for that exam, but even if you made the mistake and did not , ask for forgiveness from Him and stay focus in Him. God shows up for His children at His perfect time.
Job declared, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust him, but I will maintain my own ways before him” Job 13 :15.
So even if you waited on God and that exam passed by, and your child didn’t sit for it, God knows the perfect time for him to write that exam and come out with excellent result. He knows the perfect time to bring him into college and exhibit His glory through him. He is the master planner all out to deliver you out of all troubles.
So trust Him and fix your eyes on Him…
