TEXT: “ I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth In me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15 :5.
Rhema For Living 16 September 2022 OFM MESSAGE
One sure secret of unending flow of supply from above is staying connected. How can a branch cut off from the vine and hope to continue with the nutrients from the vine? How can a water pipe be disconnected from the tank and not fall short of water running through it? Great men in the kingdom were made great and they remained great by staying connected.
In a strange land in Babylon, where they carried captives, four Hebrew boys stood out and grew till they became great and relevant in the land because they stayed connected to God. These persons were Daniel and his friends Shedrach, Meshach, and Abenego. In Daniel chapter one they purposed in their hearts that they would not defile themselves with the portion of the king’s meat and drink and God proved Himself in their lives.
In Daniel 3;, the three Hebrew boys, Shedrach, Meshach and Abenego refused to bow to the golden image set up by the king and they threw them into the burning fiery furnace but they were not burnt because God was waiting for them in the fire. Also in Daniel 6; Daniel refused to obey the king’s decrees not to pray or make any petition to any God or man except to the king for thirty days, otherwise be thrown into the Lion’s den.
But Daniel, prayed to the Almighty God, not minding the threat and that landed him in the lion’s den but God was right there to rescue him. At both instances, the king made a decree that all tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, Shedrach, Meshach and Abenego for he is the living God.
And they prospered and were relevant in the land.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, every power on assignment to disconnect me from God, be frustrated by fire.
