To run this Christian race using others as your standard is to miss your destiny. Inasmuch as God created us all in His image and after His likeness, with certain common features as human, redeem us by the blood of the lamb, gave us fundamental biblical principles and His testaments in the Holy Bible, He fashioned and wired, Acts 4-6; you specifically for your destiny to His glory. You are not ordinary.
He created you to be you to fulfill the purpose for your creation. That is why there are specific instructions He may give to you in your walk with Him which may not be given to even the next person.
Also, there are certain high standards He may expect from you which He may not require from others because of His hand on your life. You ought to be sensitive to His leading and not follow the general Christian conducts in your relationship with God. That certain people whom you hold in high esteem can get away with certain things does not mean that is what God wants you to do also.
God will not go against His word, every specific instruction He gives you and the way of life He requires from you are in accordance with His Word but His specifications and methods for you may be different. He may chastise you for doing certain things but not others. Child of God, follow the leading of the Spirit to enable you fulfill your destiny.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14).
PRAYER.
My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, whatever that will make me miss my destiny, be destroyed by fire.
