Anytime a child of God begins to doubt God, he begins to fail. Challenges must come, but never permit Mr. doubt and Mrs. unbelief. If you allow doubt to visit you in that prison, you may not come out of that prison. No adverse situation is permanent, it has a minimal time frame if you operate in faith never permitting an iota of doubt.
Doubt prolongs your stay in that prison and may even truncate your life because it empowers the enemy of your destiny to take advantage of you. That was the situation of John the Baptist who because of his condition of being in the prison doubted the same Jesus whom he announced to the world as Christ.
By that act, he opened up himself to his adversary Herodias who through that loophole penetrated him.
Life is a choice, you can choose to have faith and not doubt no matter the circumstance of life you find yourself. Joseph was also in the prison of life for an offence he never even committed but he was not doubtful, rather he was the one encouraging those who were sad in the prison.
Before he even landed in prison, he passed through some ugly experience contrary to the dream he had, but he never doubted God nor was he offended.
What of Paul and Silas who were thrown into the prison for the gospel but they chose to pray and sing praise which are strong acts of faith. You can make a choice never to permit doubt but only operate in faith…
PRAYER
My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I curse every root of doubt growing in my life, in Jesus name.
