Hidden Treasure

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 141-143
TEXT: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1 :7.
Every child of God must be tested. The trial of your faith is certain. “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23 :10.
Without examination, there is no promotion. That fire will not burn you, it is to make you shine. Our anchor text says the trial of your faith is for you to be found unto praise, honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus. It is to destroy you. Examination is to test your ability and capacity so that you will be placed. Until David killed Goliath nobody knew that he killed a bear and Lion.
“Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied armies of the living God.” 1 Samuel 17 :36. Hannah would not have prayed for her Samuel if not because her adversary Pininnah provoked her sore. “And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb.” 1 Samuel 1 :6.
Beloved, that challenge you are going through is to bring out the best in you. Allow God to train you and bring out that pure gold in you. “And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” Hebrews 12 :5 – 6. No temptation is sweet but in that temptation God makes a way of escape. For you to be a son, you have to be chastised. For the hidden treasure in you to manifest for all to see; it has to pass through fire.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive the strength to go through the test for the treasure in me to manifest.
