TOPIC:Â For Signs And Wonder
TEXT: “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in month of Zion.” – Isaiah 8 :18
The declaration of our anchor text should be the statement of ever redeemed child of the kingdom because God has made parents and their children as instruments for signs and wonders.
If you look critically at the statement, the first thing the speaker demanded of the listener was to behold. In order words, the speaker said, look at us I and the children which the LORD has given unto me are for signs and wonders.
Meaning there was evidence of what she wanted the listener to see. There are proofs to look at that they are indeed for signs and wonders.
The same goes to you dear parents. You should be proud to declare same about you and your children because you are far r signs and wonders.
Even if there are no tangible evidence to back up your claim physically but the beauty and the glory of godliness in the knowledge of the word should reveal what you are declaring. As a parent, it is your responsibility to inculate this mindset in your children, that they are instruments of signs and wonders, and it begins with you first being an example of such as it says, “… I and the children…”
Let your children see you providing solutions to problems and not contributing to them. Show and teach them to yield themselves to God, “For it is God which worketh in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure” Phil. 3:13. Let them know that it is only by submitting to God and wonders through them.
Teach them to pray and study God’s word for they are instruments for signs and wonder.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me fulfill my task as a parent.
