MFM Devotional 13 July 2026 – MESSAGE
It is a scriptural practice to lay hands on people in prayer. Hands can be laid to transfer anointing or authority, to release the Holy Ghost, and also to heal the sick. Today, we are considering laying on of hands as a channel of healing.
Jesus, during His earthly ministry, laid hands on certain sick folks to heal them. Paul also did the same in the book of Acts 28:8. He laid his hands on Publius’ father and he was healed. As Christians today, God still heals through this medium. The anointing of healing can be transferred from a person’s hand to another person’s body. The scriptures affirm this in the book of Mark 16:18, ” … they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” This means that every believer in Christ can lay hands on the sick and cause them to recover.
Anyone who is sick can call for another believer or pastor to lay hands on him or her in prayer. In addition, you yourself can lay hands on your own head and speak healing over your body in the name of Jesus. The Bible does not specify who to lay hands on you; it doesn’t have to be a pastor or somebody else. You can be your own pastor.
Beloved, don’t let the devil hold you down in sickness. Avail yourself of the channels of healing so that you can walk in perfect health as the Lord intends for you. Also, if there is any sick person around you, take the step of faith and lay your hands on such an individual. It is not your hands that will heal, it is the Lord Himself using your hands. Examine your life with the help of the Holy Spirit and close up every avenue through which sickness can come in to afflict you. May your healing be permanent, in Jesus’ name.

1. O Lord, lay Your hands of healing upon me, in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers afflicting me with sickness, die, die, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. O Lord, release Your healing virtue into my hands, in the name of Jesus.
