SCRIPTURE: 1 Timothy 4:1-2 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.
John Hagee Daily Devotional 18th October 2022 MESSAGE
We are a nation in need of Truth. If we reject that Truth, we will live under a lie.
Paul warned that in the last days, men would love themselves and their money above all else. They would be braggarts and blasphemers, disobedient to their parents and despisers of good.
He foretold a generation more knowledgeable than any other before that would drift ever farther from the Truth. Making a show of godliness, their lives will deny its power and validity (II Timothy 3).
In today’s verse, the Spirit expressly directed Paul to share that in the last days, even believers will fall for lies of deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. Their consciences will become so seared, they will not be able to comprehend Truth.
Our culture has accepted false narratives and succumbed to deception until we are numb to the lies. We have fallen prey to Satan’s lies until our national conscience has been seared.
The best way to identify a counterfeit is to be so acquainted with the Truth that we cannot be fooled by any worthless imposter. May God’s Word grow such deep roots in our lives that we will never be lured away to depart from the faith.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May the truth of God outweigh every lie of Satan in your life to make you free indeed!
