TOPIC: Duty of Man
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV)
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
No student of the Bible will discuss wisdom and exclude Solomon. During his reign, Solomon was the wisest, wealthiest, and smartest. In fact, Solomon’s fame was sought after by other royalties from afar. Solomon had a special appeal with women to the extent that he had 300 women as concubines and 700 wives at home (1 Kings 11:3 KJV).
The splendour and elegance of Solomon’s palace and servants are still talked about today. To put it bluntly, Solomon had it all, and I mean all that life could offer a human being. Notice that despite having all that pertains to life and the majesty of his kingdom, Solomon was eager to draw our attention to what he concluded was the most important in life.
Solomon’s experiences in life should make one realize that he was an authority in this area. If Solomon were alive today, he would be Number 1 on Forbes magazine’s richest man, year in and year out, with no one coming close. Solomon’s conclusion on life’s essential elements, as captured in today’s scripture, should become our standard. Take it to heart and see your life change for the better. Hallelujah!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
My purpose is defined, and what I do for God will last forever. All other things outside of God’s work are fleeting. I am ready now to do what I was born to do, which is to serve God with my whole being and substance. Hallelujah!
