2 Corinthians 9:8 (KJV) – And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
Imagine a life where you are self-sufficient and don’t need any financial support. That’s what God wants for you. While it may be tempting to give money to anyone who asks, or support every charitable organization that tugs at your heartstrings, it’s important to remember that being financially self-sufficient is also part of God’s plan for you.
The Bible teaches us to give to everyone who asks, but that doesn’t mean we have to give everything they ask for.
If you want to truly prosper, take a lesson from the wealthy: information is the key to prosperity. Sure, they may have the funds to spare, but they know that a little bit of financial help won’t get you far if you don’t have the knowledge to sustain yourself. Charitable donations come after being “furnished in abundance.” So how can you reach that level of self-sufficiency? Through knowledge of the Word and giving to God’s purposes. As you give to Him, He will take care of the furnishing.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
The Word gives me the ability to discern the good, and wisdom governs my giving. In this year of Heaven on Earth I will break records in my giving. Hallelujah!
