TOPIC:Â Burning Ones
SCRIPTURE: 2 Timothy 1:6 (KJV) Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
Countless theologians, pastors and teachers have expounded on this verse and have taught that the gift it refers to its one of the spiritual gifts. However, the gift spoken of here is the person of the Holy Spirit, the giver of the gifts Himself! Now, if the Holy Ghost in you is the gift you need to stir, how do you do it? How can you stir a person? By putting yourself in remembrance.
The psalmist got a hold of this principle, and in Psalm 103 he exhorts us to remind ourselves of all the Lord’s benefits. When you want to rekindle the fire, remind yourself of everything God has done for you! God needs you to be on fire for Him. So, if you find yourself growing cold, struggling to pray, neglecting to read your Bible, fearful, stressed and depressed, stir up the fire! Consistently remind yourself of what God has done for you until the glow of the fire Holy Ghost is seen all over your life!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
The fire of God is on me, and my light is so bright that I blind my enemies. In this year of Heaven on Earth, I am consumed by the fire for God, and the whole world will watch me burn!
