TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.” Mark 12:43-44

There are some Christians who get very excited when they see this verse and say, “In
giving to the Lord, it doesn’t really matter the ‘size’ of the seed because this poor woman didn’t give much.” Let me correct this folly the devil has used to keep Christians in poverty.
Notice how Jesus zones in on her as a shining example of a true giver irrespective of the
two small coins she left in the giving basket. Why does He do that? Because she gave
“everything she had to live on.” She was left with nothing, while others gave a tiny percentage of the money they actually had. For sound waves to work, you need to give beyond what you are able to give. It’s a step of faith! The unchanging principle is when you give, you get!
The Bible says, in 2 Corinthians 9:6, “This I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” You see, the use of your money is a confession of your faith. Do you truly believe that if you give you will reap bountifully? It comes down to your faith. When you give sacrificially, it becomes a confession of your faith. Channel God’s grace and favour towards you for superabundant wonders by sacrificial giving.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I give because I believe in God. Anything to do with the Kingdom is my concern. By God, I shall continue to demonstrate my faith through my giving.
