Keep Your Confidence

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Romans 7-9

TEXT: Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. Hebrews 10:35

If there is one thing the devil aims at, it is to make you cast away your confidence which has great recompense of reward. If he can get you to cast off your confidence, he would have gotten you squarely. Confidence embarrasses and frustrates the devil.

You can imagine the assignment given to Delilah to get at the confidence of Samson. The lords of the Philistines said to her, “… Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth…” (Judges 16:5). Your confidence depicts your strength and is a great source of concern to the enemy, never lose it in the face of a battle, a confrontation, a challenge or the problems of life.

The very confidence you have in God from the beginning as your all in all, deliverer, provider, healer, guardians, hold fast to it and do not lose it no matter what is before you. Scripture says, “For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end” (Hebrews 3:14).

Just imagine how the unshaken confidence of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego brought in the fourth man in the midst of the fire before they were even thrown in. A little shepherd boy, David could bring down Goliath, a giant, experienced in battles because of his display of confidence in the Almighty God. The Lion of the tribe of Judah visited the den of lions and shut the mouths of the lions for the sake of his faithful servant, Daniel who did not cast away his confidence by not praying to him.

Child of God, the fearful acts of God are displayed in the lives of those who are ever confident in God. If you can keep your confidence, you can kick out that devil.

PRAYER
My Father! My Father! As I pray now, I refuse to lose my confidence.
