TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: John 1-3.
TEXT: It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night. Psalms 92 :1-2.
In the business world, there is something known as trade secrets, so also in the kingdom, there are major secrets to multiplication and continuous growth.
One major secret that is very crucial in every phase of life and venture is thanksgiving. It is necessary at the beginning, crucial at the middle and optimal at the end.
The subject of thanksgiving is not optional. It is a commandment. “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thess. 5 :18). When you thank Him, He makes your tank full. When you thank and praise Him, He raises you, if you do not, He gradually erases you.
Thanksgiving paves the way for you to go forward, it unlocks the door, drives you on the ladder of strange increase and it gets you there. “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” (Psalms 100 :4).
Thanksgiving is the spiritual link between your present position and your future. If only you can give thanks to God always, you will advance. Nothing dies in the hands of a man that gives thanks, rather it multiplies, and comes back to life. Jesus gave thanks at the tomb of Lazarus and something strange happened (John 11:41-44), He gave thanks over the few loaves of bread and fish (Matt. 15 :36 – 37; Mk 6 :41 – 43), and something strange also took place.
Therefore, if you want the strange acts of God’s increase and multiplication regularly in your life, apply this major secret and let it be your lifestyle…
PRAYER.
My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, let the spirit of thanksgiving possess me.
