TEXT: And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. Genesis 37:5

In Hebrews 6:12, the Bible says, “That ye be not slothful but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” The life of Joseph is worthy of emulation and there are certain truths about life that one needs to know from his example so as to enjoy a great magnitude of success in life.

From the life of Joseph, we understand the importance of dream. Your dream is the blueprint of your life. This is a new year and it would be absurd to live this year without an objective and without goals. When a person has no definition of his destination, he can stop anywhere, and end anyhow.

A lack of definite goals or a specific dream champions delay. The strength of the waster is empowered by a lack of goals. What are your goals for the year 2021? It is not enough to be alive, your life must count positively in a progressive dimension this year. Your spiritual life and physical life must speak volumes of the faithfulness of God. These happen on the premise of a purposeful life which has at its root in definite goals – both short term and long term, and actionable planning.

God’s word says, “… Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it” (Hab. 2:2). Have you written down your goals for the year? Do not write them and hide them. Make them visible to you, so you can run with them.

I pray for you today, that this year will be more glorious for you.
