Today’s Bible Verse
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” — Matthew 6:34 (NIV)
Worry is a master thief. It sneaks into our minds and steals the joy, peace, and grace of the present moment by forcing us to live in a future that hasn’t even happened yet.
By the time Wednesday rolls around, the mid-week fatigue is real, and worry loves to feed on a tired mind. We worry about what might go wrong, how a conversation will turn out, or whether we will have enough resources to get through a future crisis.
But worry has never solved a single problem or changed a single outcome.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gently reminds us that God provides for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field—and you are worth infinitely more to Him than they are. He gives us “daily bread”—grace that is strictly measured out for today. When we try to solve tomorrow’s hypothetical problems with today’s energy, we break down.
God has promised to give you the grace you need for tomorrow when tomorrow comes. Today, bring your focus back to the present. God is here, His grace is here, and you are safe in His hands.

A Prayer to Overcome Daily Worry and Fear
Father God,
I confess that my mind is easily crowded by worry and fear about the future. I lose sleep over things I cannot control. Today, I want to reclaim the peace You have promised me. I choose to focus on Your goodness right now.
When my thoughts start to race toward tomorrow, gently pull my heart back to today. Remind me of Your past faithfulness. Thank You for providing for my needs, and help me to trust that You will do the exact same thing tomorrow.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
