TOPIC: No Time To Sleep
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Matthew 13:25 (NKJV) But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
GoodNews Daily Devotional 18th September 2022 MESSAGE
Let’s make the maths, if you slept eight hours every day as advised by most doctors to get rest, it means by the time you reach the retirement age of 65 years sanctioned by most governments, you may have slept for almost eight years of your life span! You made not notice that sleep is depriving you of so many things. In this scripture, the enemy didn’t plant when the sower was awake nor did the enemy appear when the Sower was alert
and sowing.
The enemy started sowing his deadly seeds when the sower was asleep!
You can now see clearly that sleep is the gateway to give the enemy access to your field, to your business, to your finances, to your marriage, to your children, to your spouse, to your career! The problem we have in the church is most Christians are sleeping, some even take it to church!
In the middle of live church service, they will go sideways dosing to sleep, not being conscious of their surroundings! Making sure that every atmosphere in your house is in order is your responsibility as the priest of your home! The Bible puts it this way in Proverbs 6:10-11(NIV) ‘A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest; and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man’. It is truly time to sleep no more. Amen.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a barrier breaker, I am a line crosser, I am a victor, not a victim. I will no longer entertain sleep but will cage it until I complete my God-given assignment! Hallelujah!
