TOPIC: Perfect peace

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

GoodNews Daily Devotional 1st September 2022 MESSAGE

We live in a world where peace is very difficult to find, let alone ‘perfect peace’. Every time we turn on the radio, television, or switch to any social media platform, the current events that pop up are so distressing and nothing in them that will give an ordinary person motivation or encouragement to accept that life is beautiful as created by God.

Our scripture for today gives a certain demarcation between those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in God, therefore, God safely retains them in his peace which is perfect. There are others whose minds and thought process is entirely void of God. Remember that we are in this world but not of this world, this entails that whatever we do as Christians should reflect the one who we represent. The Bible tells us: ‘Let this mind be in you, which was in Christ Jesus:’ (Philippians 2:5, KJV), the mind of Christ does not entertain stress or depression.

The mind of Christ is neither troubled by current events nor get frustrated when faced with circumstances that you think are impossible. The scripture for today is very clear that when your mind is focussed on God, unmovable regardless of situations, God himself will keep you. In other words, the safety and security that you are looking for can only be found in God. Your trust in God is derived from his word which is full of promises concerning you. Read His word daily!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
My peace is of God which is indestructible, wherever I go, I carry the peace of God. My life is a manifestation of God’s peace, it emanates from within me. Hallelujah!
