One of the biggest hindrances in the church is focusing on obeying God. Let
me explain. There is a major distinction between Christianity and the religions of the world. Religion seeks to please God through acts of obedience, where- as Christianity is the result of God being pleased through Christ’s obedience. That is the grace of God, and it is grace that is lacking in religion.
Grace is understanding that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross has made you right with God, not an act of obedience on your part. Jesus did it all for you, so you do not have to do it. Other religions try to change people’s actions. That is why religion has so many rules and regulations. However, Christianity is about Christ changing the heart. That is why under the New Covenant, we do not obey.
We have something far superior to obedience; we live the Word. Now you are the very temple of God, and He has written His laws in your heart. The Bible says that ‘for in Him we live, move, and have our being’ (Acts 17:28, KJV). You move with Him, and He moves in you. You do not need to appease God because He has already been appeased! So set your focus on the divine life within you rather than mere outward works, for you are already right with God. Glory to God!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a product of the wonder of God’s grace. I am perfectly loved and fully accepted by God. My life is the expression of my oneness with Him, and He is pleased with me.
