O Thou That Sleepeth!

TEXT: “Therefore let us not sleep, as do others: but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.” – 1 Thessalonians 5 :6 – 7
Rhema For Living 22 April 2022 Devotional MESSAGE
Every destiny that was tampered with was done when men slept. “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares…” Matt. 13 :25. And today many afflicted are suffering from mysterious attacks fired at them by the enemy because of their slumbering and spiritual insensitivity which made them susceptible and receptive to wickedness.
Awake from thy slumbering o thou that sleepeth! Every day, glorious destinies are being exchanged, retarded and even truncated in the flower of their days because they are slumbering when crucial matters of life are being decided.
Just behold this scenario of destiny exchange in 1 Kings 3. The mother of the living child that was exchanged said, “And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.” 1 Kings 3 :20.
If you do not want the same mishap in your life and family, you must know, “… that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” Rom. 13 :11 – 12.
O thou that sleepeth, awake from your slumber so that you can maximize your destiny.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, enlighten my eyes O God. I shall not sleep the sleep of death.
