TOPIC: Burning Love
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
GoodNews Daily Devotional 31 March 2022 MESSAGE
The moment you became a Christian, you were called into ministry. You do not need a title or an ordination service to run with the good news. Credentials have their place, but it is possible to carry out this ministry calling without a piece of paper affirming that calling to be so. God Himself, through Apostle Paul, has declared you to be a minister. This is not five, ten, or twenty years after you are born again. After salvation, you are called into ministry immediately.
As a minister, you represent the government of God, and His government is ruled by love. That is why the Bible declares you to be a minister of reconciliation. The ministry of reconciliation brings people to love and understand God, and it helps people who are lost to understand that God loves them. It is a ministry of love. Then in today’s scripture God also says that He has made you a flame of fire. Imagine that! You are a flame of fire hallelujah!
The Holy Spirit is the kerosene or paraffin that sets you on fire! This is a fire that cannot be quenched or extinguished. It is a love that consumes you and everything it touches. Hatred, gossip, jealousy, and indifference are no match for it. You do not need to argue with anyone to win them to Jesus or try to force them to come to church. Just be what you are, a minister of love, a flame of fire. Go out there and burn with the love of God in this year of wonders without number!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a burning fire ready to set the world ablaze with the love of God! The love of God in me shall cause wonders without number in my world!
