GoodNews Daily Devotional 2nd March 2022 MESSAGE
Today’s scripture can be overlooked as if the Apostle Paul was just making a kind suggestion. No, he was giving us a requirement. You can get so busy with your day to day tasks and forget that you must always reach out to others. This scripture is not talking about evangelism. It is speaking to a habit we must have as Christians.
When you get past your situation and make it a priority to be a blessing to someone else, you become infatuated with the outcome. You will never go wrong with considering others because God will always have the same done for you. I know you have had someone just call you and say that God loves you. Or someone gave you money, clothes or even a car. You felt amazing because God put you on someone’s mind.This is who we are and what we do.
Take inventory of your blessings and see what you can give to be a blessing to someone. There are some reading this right now who’d rather hoard things than give them away – learn to be selfless. You are blessed to a blessing. Acknowledge that you are a distributer of God’s grace and goodness. Being selfless is not a weakness.
The scripture for today tells us that as we are taking care of our own matters, don’t forget others. This is practical Christianity brothers and sisters. People are looking for God and they should find Him when they encounter you. You’re a written epistle. You shall experience wonders without number as you take care of others!
Go ahead and bless someone today.
