TREM Daily Devotional 21 August 2021 Message
Your inheritance is in heaven; so, think heavenly! Don’t tell me how many times you have failed. It doesn’t matter. Many times, God does His special work in the dark moments of your life. Some of you right now are passing through dark season. But understand that God begins in the dark and works it out into the day. Don’t let your dark moments define you. Your day will soon break. At mid-night, Paul and Silas sang and prayed. They knew what many don’t know- that mid-night is the time when the dark is about to give way. Darkness is not a thing. It is the absence of a thing.
You have to renew your mind if you will access the blessings contained in God’s Word: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2 KJV). Paul also emphasizes this in Ephesians 4:23: “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind” (KJV).
The renewal of your mind is what helps you to think from heaven’s perspective.
According to Colossians 3:1-2: “If you have been raised with Christ to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead, aim at and seek the rich, eternal treasures that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. And set your minds and keep them set on what is above, the hidden thing, not on the things that are on the earth” (AMP)
When you set your affections on the things on earth, you will be earth bound, frustrated, discouraged, confused and intimidated because that’s how the earth has been formatted to produce. You must deliberately set your mind on the things above. In Christ everything is free! Prosperity, peace, joy, increase, promotion, abundance, enlargement, abundance are all free. It is already done. We must never tolerate anything contrary. Our heavenly Father has done it all.
