TREM Daily Devotional 10 December 2021
TREM Daily Devotional 10 December 2021 | Message By Dr. Mike Okonkwo

Topic: You are in Christ

Scripture: “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Message: Those two words “in Christ” are powerful. It means that for a new creation in Christ, old things are passed away and all things have become new. When you fail to see yourself in Christ, you will stay defeated. You will keep seeing mistakes, inadequacies and limitations; you will see helplessness and hopelessness. The devil always wants you to keep looking at yourself and once you take off your eyes from the Lord and look at yourself, you will be frightened.

When Jesus took our sins on His body, how did the Father treat Him? God turned His back on Him because the full weight of God’s wrath was on Him as a result of the sins of humanity. For the first time, Jesus called Him ‘God’, which was distancing. The full weight of God’s anger was on Him so that we can be accepted in the beloved. You are now a beloved son, not an ordinary one. The full weight of God’s wrath was upon Him so that the full weight of God’s goodness can be ours. Therefore, healing, power, prosperity, wisdom and breakthrough are yours in Christ. The book of Revelation 5:12 says: “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing.”

There are several things God has laid in store for us, but there are quality decisions you must take yourself. Understand that in decision making, you can be alone. Often, your decision may not be popular. You can stand alone in a decision you have taken for yourself. Someone has rightly said that champions don’t look for crowd; rather, they stand out among equals. Champions are not just easily made; they distress themselves in order to come to that position. There are some very important decisions that must be taken by you in order for you to stand out. Never forget that you are now in Christ and in Him, you are a champion.
