MESSAGE TOPIC: The Word and Faith for Health and Healing

SERVICE OBJECTIVES:

1. Understanding the place of the Word in Divine health and healing
2. Understanding the place of faith in Divine health and Healing
   The Word of God is a major key to Divine health and healing as the Bible makes it abundantly clear

THE WORD OF GOD AS A MAJOR KEY TO DIVINE HEALTH AND HEALING:

1. Proverbs 4:20-22
2. Psalm 107:20
3. Luke 5:15
   There is a connection between hearing and healing, receiving and healing, teaching and healing.
4. Luke 6:17
   Prayer can give you healing but the Word of God keeps you in health
   There is chemotherapy, radiotherapy, physiotherapy, and even psychotherapy but there is also ‘Rhemotherapy’ –treatment by the Word.
   The Word of God is the most foundational requirement for healing and health; it is both prophylactic and therapeutic.
   The Word of God will both cure that active affliction and prevent the one that was intending to arrive

HOW DOES THE WORD TRANSMIT DIVINE HEALTH AND HEALING?

1. The Word of God is the Carrier of the life of God (Prov. 4:20-22; John 6:63; Ezek. 2:2; John 5:24; Phil. 2:16; 1John 1:1)
   The Word of God injects you with life

2. The Word of God is the Carrier of the power of God (Eccl. 8:4; Luke 4:32,36; 1Thess. 1:5; Heb. 1:3)
   Contact with the Word of God is contact with power
   When you encounter electric cables, you encounter electric current; when you encounter Word cables you encounter Divine current!
   When you break down the Word, you get Divine molecules of fire and power – Dunamis!
   When you don’t feed on the word, you can have the predilection for not just infections but afflictions
   When you get Worded you become red hot in the Spirit and diseases, viruses and afflictions begin to find their level

3. The Word of God is the Carrier of light that dispels darkness (John 1:5; Ps. 119:105, 130;
   Ps. 9:8; 2Pet. 1:19; Acts 12:7; Ps. 105:19-20)
   When the Word arrives darkness dissipates
   There are many sicknesses that are not biological but demonical
   When light comes, chains must break and freedom must come (Ps. 105:18-20)

4. The Word of God is the Fuel of faith (Acts 6:7; Rom. 10:8, 17; 1 Thess. 1:8; Heb. 13:7)
   Everywhere you see Word you must see faith; where there is vibrant word, there must be buoyant faith
   Everyone is normal in normal times but it is in times of confrontation that you know who is who

HOW DOES FAITH BRING ABOUT DIVINE HEALTH AND HEALING?

4a. Faith makes whole (Matt. 9:22; 15:28; Mark 10:52; Luke 17:19)
To be made whole means nothing missing, lacking or broken
Faith is a repairer of lives and destinies
Faith is a spiritual insurance against damage

4b. Faith is the switch of power (Acts 6:8; 2Thess. 1:11; 1Pet. 1:5)
You cannot be faith-filled and be powerless; power checks out the agenda of the enemy

4c. Faith is the destroyer of fear (Job 3:25; 1Pet. 5:8; Mark 4:37, 40; 2Tim. 1:6-7)
Many are not sick but afraid and if they don’t get rid of that fear it eventually invites sickness
Faith gives fear a technical knockout and if fear is not on ground, satan has no ground.
Faith and fear are mutually exclusive and diametrically opposed
When faith rises fear dissipates

HOW DO YOU CONNECT DIVINE HEALTH AND HEALING THROUGH THE WORD?

1. By receiving the sent Word (Ps. 107:20; Job 6:25; Matt. 8:8; Rom. 8:11)
   The sent word can come from searching on your own or while listening to a message

2. By meditating on the Word (Prov. 4:20-22; Ps. 1:1-3)
   This is the one that keeps you in health – it is a daily diet of the Word
   This is feeding on the Word daily/frequently as a prophylactic.
   The best medication is nutrition – Hippocrates

3. By speaking and declaring the Word (Mark 5:28; Matt. 8:7-8; Num. 14:28)

4. By doing the Word (Luke 17:14; John 5:8-9)
   Obedience brings wholeness and disobedience may bring affliction

PRAYERS
Father, thank You for Your Word to us tonight. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

COMMUNION FOCUS:
Tonic of Divine health

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
– Every power of darkness preventing you from living in health and wholeness and being who God wants you to be is dissolved now!
– Anything the enemy has planted in your body is uprooted now!
– Everything that is a torment in your system is arrested forever!
– Everyone suffering an affliction that came on you by the forces of darkness, that affliction is off your system forever!
