The Upper Room 3 December 2021 Daily Devotional Message
When I was a senior in high school, one of my friends decided to start a weekly Bible study for the school and invited everyone to come and worship.
I was hesitant to go since I knew that my best friends were all followers of Christ, and I wasn’t sure where I stood on religion. However, I decided I would go to support my friend and see what it was like. I instantly felt out of place. But then they started singing, and I remember that the first song they sang was “Thank You, Jesus.” Being surrounded by all of that made me feel something that I had never felt before.
I began attending the Bible study regularly and eventually started praying every night, asking God to draw me closer in any way possible.
My new relationship with God opened doors for me to attend a Christian university. Knowing I can trust and lean on God throughout my life gives me confidence. Now I look to God through the good times and the bad.
