MESSAGE: The Bible is replete with diverse ways of doing business and prospering according to God’s pattern. The strong urge and temptation to get rich overnight at ANY COST has led to multiplied dubious business practices which regrettably have wangled into the sacred place of worship thus making a shipwreck of even the elects of God.
Time and again countless brethren have fallen victims to assorted Ponzi schemes ranging from Umana Umana, MMM which stands distinct as one of the largest fraudulent financial establishment network of all times that penetrated nations with a superlative speed of acceptance, free loan scheme from foreign sponsors after paying a registration fee by would be beneficiaries, yahoo yahoo Internet scammers and fraudsters, marketers from Cotonou with products that require chemicals which you have to sponsor, strange calls from a purported oil company promising huge gain after contract execution, just to mention a few.

WARNING: A Ponzi scheme (named after Charles Ponzi of Italy) is ANY BUSINESS transaction that promises high financial returns or dividend within a limited time not available through proven best business investments practices. It uses the funds of victims to pay dividends to initial investors while canvassing and anticipating subsequent investors as the Ponzi grows until it crashes. No Ponzi scheme no matter the guise has survived over time.
NOTE: Several years ago, even before the Italian born Charles Ponzi propounded his fraudulent scheme God had already made provision against its practice.
“A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.” Prov. 28:20.

We have a sure word of prophecy from on high. “I will INSTRUCT thee and TEACH thee in the WAY (business) which thou shalt GO (prosper): I will GUIDE (lead or direct) thee with mine eye. Hallelujah! Ps 32:8

He was a successful businessman in the cattle industry, livestock, rich in gold, silver etc. He also excelled in holiness and social life as he had in his possession 318 trained soldiers. He was a fulfillment of 1 Tim. 6:6 “But godliness with contentment is great gain”.
