TOPIC: Change Your Environment

FOCUS SCRIPTURE “And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river’s brink.” (Exodus 2: 3)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Moses’ mother built an ark and put her son inside. She slid the ark by the brink of the river. So Moses was in an ark, in the river. The water that should have touched him could only touch the ark. In building that ark, Moses’ mother created an environment around her son that would make him safe despite the waters that could swallow him. She literally created her own environment to work in her favour.

Friend, no matter how unfavourable your environment is, create your own environment. Create the environment for your success even if failure is all that you see around you. Create an environment of prayer that will counter the environment of wickedness you may be caught up in. Create an environment of good news even if your environment is filled with patterns of bad news. Create an environment that will give you what you need.

In 2023, do not move by what people say; create your own environment by your words and actions. No matter the famine, create your own abundance by the words you speak and the actions you take. No matter the bad news, call forth your own good news. Turn that dry environment you are in, into a fruitful field by your prophetic proclamations. Turn your misfortune into stepping stones by virtue of the steps you take.

Pharaoh wanted the children of Israel to have their newborn males killed, but by virtue of the ark that Moses’ mother built, it did not end the way Pharaoh planned it. Hear me as I hear the Lord: if you dare to create a favourable environment in that unfavourable location you are in, you will be amazed how your results will defy the negative predictions of those who thought you were on your way down.

Don’t allow the negativity the enemy crafted for you to have the final say. Create a new environment for yourself no matter where you find yourself in 2023. Create a new environment through your words and actions.

Hosea 10: 12 says: “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.”

DECLARATION: No matter the negativity in my environment, I choose to change the environment, in Jesus’ name!
