Streams of Joy Devotional 17 April 2024 (Wednesday) TOPIC: Spoilers in the Dark

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
FOCUS VERSE: “And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;” (Acts 3: 2)
TODAY’S MESSAGE
The man whose case is mentioned in our Focal Scripture, was described as being lame from his mother’s womb. The lameness that came his way, began from his mother’s womb. So while he was in his mother’s womb, where eyes could not see, negativity had already located him. Something went wrong where eyes could not see, and it became the reality of the man at the gate. Negativity struck him where eyes could not see.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: no negativity will spoil what God is doing for you where eyes cannot see. Every attack against your portion where eyes cannot see, let fire answer. Every wickedness that is brewing in secret, waiting to manifest at a time when it would embarrass you, let the Lord arise and scuttle it. Every plot of the enemy to spoil your good news before it comes forth, I command that plan to scatter by fire.
Powers that scatter what is yet to come forth, they will not prevail over you. Powers that tamper with what the Lord is doing where eyes cannot see, you will not be their candidate. Powers that say you will not have all that God wants you to have, I decree, their plans will not stand. Powers that get in the way of the goodness and mercy of God in your life, I decree they will not stand. Powers that spoil in secret, they will not prevail over you.
Today, I pray for you: may the Lord work for you where eyes cannot see. May good news erupt for you from where eyes cannot see. May things begin to work in your favour where eyes cannot see. May the tides and tables turn in your favour where eyes cannot see. May things begin to work in your favour where eyes cannot see. May discussions that will favour you be held where eyes cannot see. May what happens in secret, favour you.
Welcome to that season where the things that happen in secret will not work against you. Welcome to that season where the powers that spoil in secret will not prevail over you.
Isaiah 9: 2 says: “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”
DECLARATION: Powers that spoil in secret, will not spoil what is mine, in Jesus’ name!
