Joshua met an angel as he stood by Jericho. He was on a mission to possess Jericho, he was on the brink of entering into God’s promise, he was on the verge of his next level, he was about to receive a mighty result that his strength and ability could not make happen, and he met an angel who was described as the captain of the Lord’s host. On his way to possessing what heaven promised him, Joshua received divine, angelic help.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: as you march towards God’s promise, you shall have divine, angelic help. As you rise to your next level, God will send angels to clear the way for you; God will send angels that will deal with every opposition to your advancement; God will send you angels who will keep your haters at bay as you make progress; God will send you angels who will cause your little efforts to yield amazing results.

Joshua didn’t just see an ordinary angel; he saw the captain of the Lord’s host. A host is a company of soldiers; so it was not just one angel that was available to help Joshua; an innumerable company of angels came to provide help to Joshua. Hear me as I hear the Lord: an innumerable company of angels will fight for you; any man who shall arise against you will have to contend with the angels that God has sent to help you already.

Joshua did not have the physical resources to bring down the walls of Jericho, and God sent him angelic help to make it happen. Jesus already knows the things you can’t achieve by your own strength; He knows where your strength is inadequate; He knows when your finances are not enough for your bills and projects; He knows where you have a deficit, and He will send you angelic help to deal with every deficit in your abilities.

Even before Joshua began making efforts to march round Jericho, the angel was already standing by, waiting to fight for Joshua. Your angels are already standing by to help you enter your higher place.

Isaiah 45: 2 says: “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:”
