Streams of Joy Daily Devotional 10 July 2024 (Wednesday) Message
TOPIC: Pattern Breaker
SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Samuel 17: 1-53
FOCUS VERSE: “Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.” (1 Samuel 17: 36)
Before David showed up in the battlefield, the armies of Israel had been held hostage in fear by Goliath. Goliath showed up every morning and evening and threatened the armies of Israel. No one could fight him. What the brothers of David and other soldiers could not achieve, God used David to achieve it. God used David to break the pattern of fear and inactivity of the armies of Israel. God used David to break the pattern.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are that pattern breaker that your generation has been waiting for. God will use you to break the negative patterns that existed in your family before you arrived. God will use you to break every negative pattern in your generation. God will use you to break every pattern in your career. God will use you to break every pattern in your ministry. God will use you to do what has not been done by another.

The armies of Israel remained in fear, listening to Goliath’s speeches and threats for forty days, with none of them willing to fight with Goliath, until David showed up. David turned up, and a result that no man in the battlefield had achieved became reality. Hear me as I hear the Lord: that result that no one around you has been able to achieve, God will use you to achieve it. God will use you to make a name for Himself.
You belong to a generation that accomplishes what other men fear to attempt. You belong to a generation that hits targets that others fear to even dream of. You belong to a generation that changes patterns by producing new results. You belong to a pattern-breaking generation. If there be any negative pattern that the enemy has sustained around you, as surely as the Lord lives, you will be the one to break it.
No negative pattern of the enemy will survive around you. Even if no one has accomplished it, you will be the first to accomplish it.
Matthew 16: 19 says: “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
DECLARATION: I arise as a pattern breaker; I will accomplish what no one around me has accomplished, in Jesus’ name!
