TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Matthew 1:18-25
“Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,” (Matthew 1: 22)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the birth of Jesus was a fulfillment of prophecy. God gave a word, and several generations later, He was faithful to complete and fulfill what He said. The word of the Lord did not fall to the ground. The promise of God did not go without fulfillment. God knew exactly what to do to make His word a reality, and He put Joseph and Mary in the center of the fulfillment of prophecy.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will be in the center of the fulfillment of the word of the Lord. As God decides to make His word become reality, you will be at the center of it. As God decides to fulfill His promises, you will be a beneficiary. As God chooses to cause His goodness to find expression, your life will be an example of how He manifested His goodness. As God releases His word, you will be in the midst of the fulfillment of it.
Some people merely heard about the prophecy, others saw the fulfillment, but Joseph and Mary became the channels and beneficiaries of the fulfillment of the word of the Lord. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be a spectator as El Roi fulfills His word; you will be a partaker. As others speak of what the Lord has done, you will be the example of what the Lord has done. You will be in the center of the works of the Lord.
The season of being a mere spectator as the works of the Lord are made manifest around you, are over. The days of watching the works of God without being a partaker, are over. The days of hearing what God said without seeing same happen in your life, are over. Is there a word that God spoke to you and you have been waiting all year for it to be fulfilled? Get set: the time for the fulfillment of the word of the Lord, is now.
Welcome to that season where the word of the Lord will come to pass in your life. Welcome to that season where heaven will put you in the center of the fulfillment of the word of the Lord.
Jeremiah 1: 12 says: “Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.”
DECLARATION: I am in the centre of the fulfilment of the word of the Lord, in Jesus’ name!
