Streams of Joy 5 July 2025 Devotional (Saturday) Message
SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 13
FOCUS VERSE: “He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.” (Luke 13: 6)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of the parable of the fig tree. One major characteristic of the fig tree is its root system, which means that the fig can be planted in one place but the roots spread far away and may even have new trees arise from the roots that have spread. They are planted in one place, but the roots go far from where they are planted. The roots of the fig spread out very easily. The fig tree has capacity to spread.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are like the fig tree, and you will spread on every side. You will break forth on every side. You will break into places you never imagined you would break into. You will gain access to places that ordinarily seem beyond your reach. You may be in one place but your influence and relevance will reach out for realms you never imagined you would reach. You will spread beyond your locale.
Notice that figs are multi-trunk plants. So, its roots could spread to another location and grow an entirely new trunk of the fig. As it yields in the main trunk, it may also grow a fresh trunk from the roots that will also yield. Hear me as I hear the Lord: as you spread on every side, you will also bear fruit on every side. You will have results wherever you spread into. God will cause you to be fruitful on all sides. You will spread with results.
Your name will be heard in the nations. Your influence will spread into new territories. Your assignment will spread; your business will spread; your career will spread; your ministry will spread; your family will spread; your greatness will spread. Everything around you and about you will spread. Some people may not like you but they cannot stop your spread. No matter how hard they try, you will keep spreading despite the hate.
Welcome to your new season where you will spread on every side. Welcome to your new season where you will bring forth results on every side.
Isaiah 54: 3 says: “For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.”
